Cynthia's Biography

"Cynthia Lukas brings a special kind of light to a rich mystical history that fuels our hearts and minds in a way that it brings Life back into the world. My vision for her and Kell Kearns is that their movies are played in all local theaters, which would absolutely transform our planet."

-- Rev. Frankie Timmers, Center for Spiritual Living, Morristown

Cynthia LukasAbout Rumi Returning, Professor of Philosophy at Cal State University, L.A., Joseph Prabhu proclaimed, "Rumi's spirit indeed sings and soars in Rumi Returning, the exquisitely beautiful documentary Cynthia Lukas and Kell Kearns have made for the 800th anniversary of Rumi's birth."

For example, she delivered the lecture"Why Is Rumi Returning Now?" at the Rumi Alive Festival at the National Museum in Prague, Czech Republic (Nov., 2007). She also presented Rumi Returning to the 41st Annual Meeting of the Middle East Studies Association in Montreal, Canada (Nov., 2007). Her other presentations include those at the Three Rivers Library in Michigan (April, 2009) and the Paradise Valley Community College in Arizona (Feb., 2010).
